Retay RXP22 22 LR 4" 13/18rd FDE Threaded Pistol

This is the flat dark earth version of Retay's RXP22, with a tan frame under a black slide. Underneath the color it is the same rimfire built to centerfire proportions: a full size grip, a slide with real mass, and controls where a service pistol shooter reaches for them. Retay's barrels are chrome finished steel that the factory deep bore drills for a straight, consistent bore, and the muzzle is threaded for a rimfire suppressor.

The action is DA/SA. The hammer sits down until the first shot, that press is long and deliberate, and every follow up shot breaks short. Shooters who carry a hammer fired gun should be practicing exactly that sequence, and 22 LR is the cheapest way in the world to do it. Two magazines come with the pistol, a 13rd and an 18rd, so a range trip does not stall on a single stick. A TruGlo front sight handles the aiming end. FDE also makes the gun easy to pick out of a crowded range bag or a case full of black pistols, which sounds trivial until you are sorting gear in the dark. A trainer only earns its keep if it handles like the gun it is standing in for, and this one does.
