Retay ACE-R Paloma 12 GA 28" 3rd Shotgun

The ACE-R is Retay's upgraded ACE, and the headline change is the AIRY pad. Retay claims up to 30 percent less felt recoil from the pad alone, which matters more on an inertia gun than a gas gun, since an inertia action sends more of the impulse straight back to the shoulder. Pair that with the factory lengthened forcing cone and heavy target loads stop feeling like work somewhere around the third box.

The action is the Inertia Plus system with the patented rollover torsion spring bolt that rotates the bolt head into battery and holds it there. There is no gas system to clean, so maintenance amounts to a wipe down and a look at the bolt. The 28" barrel is deep bore drilled for a straight bore, extended chokes are included, and a single fiber optic bead sits on the rib. The oversized safety reverses for left hand shooters and the trigger group comes out with a push button. Capacity is 3 with a 3" chamber, weight runs about 7.2 pounds, and a shim kit in the box adjusts drop and cast. Extra Black synthetic furniture keeps the whole gun understated, which suits a shotgun meant to be used rather than admired.
