Retay ACE Paloma 12 GA 28" 3rd Shotgun

Retay's ACE Paloma runs on inertia rather than gas, and that one decision drives everything else about the gun. There is no gas port to foul, no piston to scrub, and the receiver stays clean after a long day on the clays field. What makes Retay's version worth a look is the Inertia Plus bolt, which uses a rollover torsion spring to rotate the bolt head positively into battery and hold it there under recoil, addressing the one complaint inertia guns have always carried.

The 28" barrel is deep bore drilled so the bore runs dead straight, and Retay lengthens the forcing cone at the factory, which takes the edge off heavy loads. A single fiber optic bead sits on the rib, the oversized safety reverses for left hand shooters, and the trigger group drops out with a push button for cleaning. The stock is black synthetic with a shim kit in the box for setting drop and cast to the shooter's face, and length of pull comes in at 14.5 inches. The magazine holds 3 with a 3" chamber, weight sits right around 7 pounds, and extended chokes are included. At 28 inches this is the do everything barrel length: quick enough for grouse, long enough for sporting clays.
