Q did not try to make the Tall Boy do everything. It is a long can with a lot of internal volume, and the target is the quietest possible subsonic 300 Blackout setup. At 10.25 inches and 19 ounces it is neither short nor light, and that is the trade being offered: sound reduction in exchange for length out front.
The body is steel with a black Nitride finish, so it takes heat and abuse without special handling. Diameter is 1.75 inches. It uses Q's Quickie Fast Attach taper mount and comes with the Rearend muzzle device, which lets the can index on a taper instead of squaring up against shoulder threads. Rated for 7.62 NATO, so supersonic 308 is inside its lane as well, but subsonic 300 BLK is where the extra length pays off.
