Proof Research Elevation MTR 2.0 6.5 CM 22" FDE Rifle

A 22 inch 6.5 Creedmoor is about as broadly useful as a bolt rifle gets. The cartridge does not ask much of a shooter or a barrel: modest recoil, modest pressure, long, aerodynamic bullets that hold velocity and shrug off wind better than cartridges that burn twice the powder. Match ammunition and hunting loads are made by every major manufacturer, components are easy to find, and the round has been shot enough by enough people that ballistic data is settled. At 22 inches the barrel gets the powder burned without turning the rifle into something awkward to carry.

This one comes from Proof Research's Elevation MTR 2.0 line and wears a Tactical Flat Dark Earth finish rather than the Midnight camo the rest of the family usually gets. It is a sound configuration for a hunter who also shoots steel, or for a target shooter who occasionally hunts.
