Nylon bristles do the work bronze should not. Reach for one when a copper solvent would eat a bronze brush and give a false reading on the patch, when the barrel is chrome lined and does not need aggressive scrubbing, or when heavy fouling just needs breaking up before the patches go through.

Pro-Shot winds an oversized fill onto a brass core, so the bristles stay in contact with the rifling instead of collapsing on the first pass, and the stiffer grade of nylon takes back and forth strokes in the bore. The 8-32 thread fits standard cleaning rods and rod adapters.
