The FDE version of the PLxC pairs the compact 1-8x24mm first focal plane platform with a flat dark earth finish that matches modern carbine builds instead of contrasting with them. Underneath the color, nothing changes: illuminated ACSS Griffin MIL reticle, mil based holds, and glass that runs clean edge to edge. The G2 update brings RDB (Red Dot Bright) diffractive reticle technology, delivering red dot brightness without compromising battery life, plus AutoLive to conserve the battery and keep the reticle visible the moment you need it.
An LPVO at true 1x with a bright center aim point behaves close enough to a red dot for room distance work, then dials to 8x when a target needs identification or the distance stretches. The Griffin reticle handles the math with drop and wind references built in. For an FDE carbine that needs one optic to do everything, this G2 configuration is the answer.
