Pointer ST912 12 GA 30" 2rd Walnut Shotgun

The ST912 is a 12 gauge over under set up for clay targets and long days in the field. The barrels run 30" with 3" chambers and chrome lined bores, and five interchangeable choke tubes come with the gun, so one shotgun covers skeet, trap and pass shooting without a trip to the parts counter. Ejectors kick the empties clear when the action breaks open, and a barrel selector decides which tube fires first.

The walnut stock carries an adjustable comb, and that is the feature worth paying attention to. Move it up or down until the rib sits where your eye naturally lands, and the gun starts breaking the targets you used to miss underneath. Two rounds, a vented rib across the top and a set of barrels long enough to keep the swing moving through the shot. For a shooter stepping into a stack barrel gun for the first time, the comb adjustment and the full choke set cover most of what comes up in the first season, and the 30" barrels are as at home on a dove field as they are on a skeet station.
