Pioneer Arms Micro Hellpup Core 7.62x39mm 7" 30rd Pistol

The Micro Hellpup Core is the short one in Pioneer Arms' AK pistol line: a 7 inch barrel in 7.62x39mm and an overall length of about 17 inches. It is built on a forged front trunnion with a 90 degree gas block and a blued steel receiver. Up front is an aluminum Picatinny quad rail with room for a light or a laser.

The barrel is threaded M14x1 left hand and wears a short Krinkov style muzzle device. The receiver keeps the traditional AK side optic rail, and the sights are a front post with a notch rear on the sliding tangent. The safety selector is the enhanced type, and the grip is black plastic. It takes 30 round AK magazines. At about 5.5 pounds empty it is a compact semi auto AK for shooters who want the most firepower in the smallest package.
