This lower turns up finished. Trigger in, buffer tube and spring in, A2 grip on the back, and a six position M4 stock already fitted. One Horse function tests them before they leave, so the only thing standing between this and a working rifle is an upper receiver and the two pins that hold it on.
The receiver is forged aluminum with a hardcoat anodized finish and standard mil spec dimensions, marked multi caliber so it is not tied to one chambering. The trigger is a single stage. The buffer tube is mil spec diameter, which means the enormous aftermarket of stocks and braces fits it without an adapter. Buying a complete lower instead of assembling one skips the roll pin punches, the detent springs that launch across the room and about an hour of quiet swearing. For a first AR-15, or a fifth one where you want the upper to be the interesting part of the project, this is the sensible place to start.
