Nosler M48 Mountain Carbon 6.5 PRC 24" 3rd Shale Gray Rifle

The M48 Mountain Carbon exists because Nosler did not like the tradeoffs in most ultralight rifles. Getting under 6 pounds usually meant giving up accuracy, durability or both. Nosler brought in carbon stock builders and carbon barrel specialists and built a rifle that hits about 6 pounds without those compromises. The Model 48 action is paired with a 24 inch cut rifled, match grade barrel wrapped in carbon fiber, then glass and aluminum pillar bedded into a carbon fiber Mountain Hunter stock reinforced with aramid, finished in Shale Gray.

This rifle is chambered in 6.5 PRC, which gives you real magnum speed and reach from a short action. The internal magazine holds 3 rounds over a hinged floorplate. A Timney trigger with a two position safety, Tungsten Grey Cerakote on the action and bottom metal, and a 5/8-24 threaded muzzle round it out. Nosler backs it with a sub MOA accuracy guarantee when you shoot its prescribed ammunition. It is a strong pick for long shots at elk or mule deer after a hard climb.
