Nosler M48 Mountain Carbon 6.5 PRC 24" 3rd Granite Green Rifle

A 6 pound rifle chambered in 6.5 PRC is a serious tool for mountain hunters, and that is exactly what the M48 Mountain Carbon is. Nosler set out to build an ultralight that did not give up accuracy to make weight. The recipe is a Model 48 action, a 24 inch match grade barrel that is cut rifled and wrapped in carbon fiber, and a 100% carbon fiber Mountain Hunter stock with aramid reinforcement in Granite Green. The barreled action sits on glass and aluminum pillar bedding, so it stays put through weather and hard knocks.

The 6.5 PRC runs in a short action here. Capacity is 3 rounds in the internal magazine with a hinged floorplate. Every steel surface is finished in Tungsten Grey Cerakote, and the Timney trigger comes with a two position safety. The 5/8-24 threaded muzzle takes a brake or suppressor. Nosler guarantees sub MOA accuracy with its prescribed ammunition, which is a strong promise for a rifle this light.
