About the North American Arms Mini
The Crushed Orchid finish is the story on this North American Arms Mini Revolver: a deep purple Cerakote over a stainless steel frame and barrel, with the stainless cylinder left bright. Underneath the color it is the same 22 LR mini revolver, with a 1.13" barrel, a five round cylinder and the NAA folding holster grip.
That grip is the reason these carry the way they do. It pivots forward around the frame to become a holster, covering the trigger and letting the revolver sit flat in a pocket, then folds back out to give a firing hold. The action is single action only, with an exposed hammer and a safety notch that lets the hammer rest between chambers rather than on a live round. Sighting is a half moon front. At 4.6 oz it barely registers in a pocket or a bag, and 22 LR keeps practice simple. This is a backup gun and a last ditch gun rather than a range gun, and it has never pretended otherwise.
