Heritage Rough Rider 22 LR 16" 6rd Burnt Bronze Revolver

A 16" barrel on a single action revolver is not a mistake, it is the entire point. Heritage built this Rough Rider in the spirit of the long barreled Buntline revolvers of the 1800s, and the extra tube does two useful things. It gets more out of a 22 LR round than a service length barrel can, and it makes hitting a can at 50 yards a reasonable expectation instead of a lucky afternoon.

The frame and barrel wear a burnt bronze finish, the cylinder is black, and the grips are wood. Sights are fixed, the action is single action only, and the six shot cylinder gets loaded one chamber at a time the way this design has worked for 150 years. Cock the hammer, aim, fire, repeat. It is a slow gun by design, which is exactly why it teaches trigger control better than anything with a magazine in it. Balance sits well forward with that much barrel out front, and it hangs steady on target because of it. Handle one and the length stops looking strange in about a minute.
