About this product
The North American Arms Earl Companion is a five shot, 22 caliber cap and ball mini revolver styled after the 1860s "Earl" design. It fires lead balls set off by #11 percussion caps, and the 4" barrel gives it a longer sight line than the pocket sized Companions. Construction is stainless steel with a rosewood boot grip, and it weighs 9.6 oz.
Each revolver comes as a kit with 50 lead bullets of 30 grains, a bullet seater, five nipples installed in the cylinder and an Allen wrench for the nipples. Black powder or Pyrodex, caps and bullet grease are bought separately. Loading is done one chamber at a time: powder, a lead ball pressed in with the included seater, then a cap on each nipple. It is a fun, hands on piece of black powder shooting and a conversation starter in any collection.
