About the MDT Interior Forend Weight
Precision shooters add weight to the forend for two reasons. A heavier front end settles faster on the bag and stops wandering while you break the shot, and it keeps the rifle from bouncing off the bipod under recoil so you can watch your own impact through the scope.
MDT puts these weights inside the forend of the chassis rather than on the outside, so the balance changes without adding anything that can hang up on a barricade or a port. Adding mass forward also flattens the recoil impulse, which is the difference between calling your own hits and asking a spotter what happened. Tune the amount to the way you shoot and leave it there.
