About the Maxim Defense MS-57 K
Maxim Defense built the MS-57 K for one cartridge instead of stretching a general purpose can to cover it. Maxim's own argument is that most silencers sold as 5.7 rated come up short on that round, both in sound reduction and in how long they survive it, so the MS-57 line carries over their M-Kore technology in a dedicated 5.7x28mm package.
The K measures 4.4 inches long with a 1.5 inch outer diameter. Construction mixes a stainless steel core with a titanium mount and thread insert inside an aluminum tube, so the weight stays reasonable without giving up the hard use rating. Maxim rates it for full auto fire and says it will run on any 5.7x28mm host you own, which covers both the pistols and the carbines chambered for the round.
