LaRue Tactical Siete 6.5 CM 23" Gray Rifle

The Siete is LaRue Tactical's bolt action rifle, and it is built the way a rail company would build one. The Picatinny rail is machined into the receiver instead of bolted on top, which takes the scope base off the list of things that can move on you between the truck and the first stage. This one is chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor with a 23 inch barrel, threaded at the muzzle for a brake or a can.

Underneath it is a LaRue KRG Bravo polymer chassis, a familiar sight at practical rifle matches. The Bravo gives a square forend for a bipod or a barricade bag and enough real estate at the grip and comb to repeat a position under time. 6.5 Creedmoor does the rest: long, high ballistic coefficient bullets at moderate velocity mean less wind drift and far less recoil than the magnums people used to reach for, and factory match ammunition is stocked almost everywhere. The gray chassis keeps the rifle low key next to a black gun rack, and the weight of the package is exactly what makes it easy to hold still when the target is small and a long way off.
