Howa M1500 Mini Action Carbon Stalker 7.62x39mm 22" 5rd Rifle

The Howa M1500 Mini Action Carbon Stalker puts the 7.62x39mm in a light, compact bolt gun. The Mini Action is sized for intermediate cartridges, so the bolt throw is short and the rifle carries lighter than a short action build. A carbon fiber stock keeps weight down without the flex of a cheap synthetic, and the 22 inch blued barrel is threaded 1/2-28 for a suppressor or muzzle brake.

It feeds from a 5 round magazine and has a three position safety, so you can cycle rounds out with the trigger blocked. For a deer hunter who wants low recoil and plentiful practice ammo, or a shooter who already stocks 7.62x39 for an AK or SKS, it makes a lot of sense. The carbon fiber stock also stays stable through swings in heat and humidity, which helps a zero hold from one season to the next. Mount a scope and it handles hogs, deer and coyotes at normal hunting distances with ammo that is easy to find.
