Howa M1500 Fence Line Mini 223 Rem 20" 5rd Grey Light Rifle

This is the Grey Light version of the Fence Line Mini in 223 Remington, a pale gray camo over a tungsten receiver that works in open country the way the darker patterns work in timber. Underneath the finish it is the same rifle as the rest of the line: a Howa 1500 Mini Action, a 20" heavy contour barrel, a radial brake on the threaded muzzle and a 5rd magazine.

Howa has been building the 1500 action since 1979 and the specification has not needed much changing. The bolt is forged in one piece with two locking lugs and a spring loaded M16 style extractor, and it lifts 90 degrees. The trigger is a two stage match unit and the safety has three positions, so the rifle can be unloaded with the safety on. The firing pin comes out without tools. The barrel is hammer forged and the rifle carries a sub MOA accuracy guarantee, one inch or better at 100 yards with premium factory ammunition, which is not a common promise on a varmint rifle of this weight. In 223 the ammunition is common enough to shoot often, and volume behind the trigger is how anyone actually gets good with a rifle like this.
