22-250 Rem is a varmint cartridge first and everything else second: flat shooting, fast, and hard on coyotes and prairie dogs. Howa gives it a hammer forged 22" barrel threaded at the muzzle, so a brake or a can goes on without a trip to a gunsmith. Howa guarantees the Fence Line barreled action to 1 inch or better at 100 yards, which is the number that matters when the target is a coyote chest at an awkward distance.

The HACT two stage trigger gives you a defined first stage and a clean break, which is what you want when you are stretched out behind a bipod waiting on a coyote to stop walking. Tungsten metalwork over a Grey Light camo polymer stock keeps the rifle from reading as a hard black line on open ground, where anything with eyes will pick it out long before you are ready.
