Horizon Firearms Venatic DM 22 Creedmoor 18" Rifle

Horizon Firearms builds the Venatic Dedicated Marksman for the hunter who does not want to choose between a light rifle and an accurate one. The barrel is an 18" Proof Research carbon fiber tube, threaded at the muzzle and cut with a fresh flute pattern, mounted on the ultralight hyper polished Stiller Wombat action. The chambering is 22 Creedmoor, which pushes light bullets fast and flat with very little recoil, so calling your own shots from field positions is realistic rather than aspirational.

The chassis is an XLR Element 4.0 in OD Green Cerakote. It folds, and it is magnesium rather than aluminum, which is where a good part of the weight savings comes from on a long walk in. Barrel and receiver wear SOCOM Black, there is a Picatinny rail on the receiver for glass and an ARCA rail underneath for tripods and bags, and the grip and buttstock carry carbon fiber as well. What comes out the other side is a rifle that carries like a mountain gun and sets up like a chassis rifle, which is a combination you normally have to give something up to get. Country that asks for a long walk and then a long shot is exactly what it was put together for.
