Horizon Firearms builds the Venatic 2 as a lighter, faster handling take on its flagship hunting rifle, and this 18" version in 22 Creedmoor is the predator rig of the lineup. The spiral fluted barrel comes threaded and wears Sage Green, set against a black receiver topped with a Picatinny rail. The stock is an iota EKO X — carbon fiber, finished in Arctic Moss, a gray green pattern that disappears in sage country — with an Arca rail on the forend for tripod work.
22 Creedmoor turns the 6.5 Creedmoor case into a .224 caliber speed machine, flat enough to hold on fur at distances where slower varmint rounds become guessing games, with recoil soft enough to spot your own hits. The 18" tube gives up a little velocity in exchange for a rifle that swings quickly out of a truck window or across shooting sticks when a coyote commits to the call. For hunters who cover ground at night or run and gun through a calling circuit, this configuration is the one built for the job.
