Horizon Firearms Vandal DM 6.5 CM 18" Rifle

6.5 Creedmoor in a chassis at 18 inches is a practical setup, and the Vandal DM builds it the way a competitor would: a spiral fluted steel barrel in black chrome, threaded at the muzzle, short enough that the rifle handles on the clock and long enough that the cartridge still performs. 6.5 Creedmoor was drawn for magazine length and short barrels, so very little is lost here.

The XLR Element 4.0 chassis is black anodized aluminum with an ARCA rail on the forend for tripods and bag riders, and the black chrome receiver comes with a picatinny rail for optics. Horizon describes the Vandal DM as its first chassis rifle, built for shooters stepping into precision competition, and 6.5 Creedmoor is the obvious chambering for that crowd - ammunition is everywhere, match loads are plentiful, the recoil is mild enough to spot your own hits, and every ballistic solver on a phone already knows the numbers cold.
