Horizon Firearms Vandal DM 22 Creedmoor 18" Rifle

The Vandal DM is Horizon Firearms' first chassis rifle, and the Dedicated Marksman name is the whole brief. The barrel is steel, spiral fluted to pull weight out without giving up stiffness, finished in black chrome and threaded at the muzzle. This one runs 18 inches, short enough to work around barricades and props without the muzzle catching on everything in the way.

The barreled action sits in an XLR Element 4.0 chassis in black anodized aluminum, with an ARCA rail on the forend for tripods and bag riders and a picatinny rail on the receiver for glass. The receiver wears the same black chrome as the barrel. In 22 Creedmoor the rifle is set up for volume: low recoil, a flat trajectory that forgives a soft range estimate, and enough bullet to hold its own in wind at match distances. Horizon aimed the DM at shooters stepping into precision competition, and the parts list reads that way - a chassis and a rail set that let the rifle be built out with the same bags, tripods and mounts everybody else on the line is running.
