HK VP9A1 X 9mm 4.09" 10rd CA Compliant Pistol

The X is HK's crossover VP9A1: a full size grip frame carrying the shorter 4.09 inch barrel and slide. You get a full hand on the gun and a full length magazine well while running a shorter, lighter slide, which is a good trade for duty holsters and for anyone who has no trouble concealing grip length. This example is built to the California roster configuration and comes with two 10 round magazines.

The A1 upgrades carry over. Nickel Teflon on the trigger smooths the pull, the reset is short, the magwell is flared, the ambidextrous controls were reworked, and the frame has serrated reference surfaces where the support thumb sits. The slide is cut for a micro red dot and wears a tritium front sight with a blacked out serrated rear. Backstraps and side panels swap for grip circumference and the trigger reach adjusts. Underneath it is still the VP9 that agencies keep buying: a recoil operated, striker fired 9mm with a cold hammer forged polygonal barrel and a trigger most shooters get along with on the first magazine. The shorter slide makes it quicker to point without changing how the gun feels in the hand.
