HK VP9A1 K 9mm 4.09" 10rd CA Compliant Pistol

The K is the compact member of the VP9A1 family. HK shortened the grip frame and fitted a 4.09 inch barrel, which puts it between the full size VP9 and a true subcompact. That is a useful place to be for concealed carry, because you keep the VP9 trigger and the VP9 grip shape while losing the length that prints under a shirt. This one is built to the California roster configuration with two 10 round magazines.

The A1 changes are the reason to look at this over an older VP9. The trigger picked up a nickel Teflon coating and a cleaner reset, the magwell is flared for faster reloads, the ambidextrous controls were reworked, and the frame gained serrated reference points where the support hand indexes. The slide is cut for a micro red dot and wears a tritium front sight paired to a plain black serrated rear, which is the correct arrangement for shooting fast in low light. Interchangeable backstraps and side panels change grip circumference, and trigger reach adjusts as well. The charging supports are still on the rear of the slide, and they are still the easiest way to rack an HK with cold or wet hands.
