Henry H1 Frontier Carbine 22 LR 16.5" 13rd Large Loop Rifle

Henry built the H1 Frontier Carbine around the octagon barrel, the profile that defined repeating rifles on the American frontier. The extra steel out front adds weight where it helps, settling the muzzle and soaking up heat through long strings of plinking. This carbine version runs a 16.5" blued octagon barrel and a large loop lever that clears a gloved hand without fuss. The receiver is black aluminum, grooved on top for standard rimfire ring mounts if you want glass, and the irons it comes with are worth using on their own: a brass bead up front and a fully adjustable semi-buckhorn rear with a diamond insert.

Chambering covers 22 Short, 22 Long, and 22 Long Rifle, and the tube holds 13 rounds of Long Rifle, 14 Long, or 18 Short. Feed it whatever is on the shelf. American walnut makes up the straight grip stock and forend, keeping the lines honest to the originals. At roughly 6 pounds it carries easy on a ranch walk or a squirrel hunt, and the lever throw is short enough that follow up shots come quick.
