H&R Retro 635 9mm 10.5" 32rd Pistol

The Retro 635 is H&R's take on the 9mm carbine that filled police and military armories in the 1980s. The slick side upper skips the forward assist and brass deflector to match the original profile, and the 10.5" barrel has a 1:10 twist with a 9mm A1 birdcage on 1/2x28 threads. Feeding comes from Colt pattern 9mm magazines, with one 32rd magazine included. H&R recommends ASC and Metalform magazines for the most consistent feeding, which is worth knowing before you buy a stack of surplus mags.

In place of a stock, the pistol uses H&R's own HAR-15 adjustable brace, which keeps the retro silhouette intact. Everything else is standard AR-15: same safety, same grip angle, same manual of arms, so anyone who has run a carbine already knows where the controls live. The blowback action has very little to go wrong with it and strips down like any other AR. Between the mild recoil of 9mm and a 10.5" barrel, this is an easy gun to shoot well at close range, and it looks like nothing else on the line.
