Full size frame, compact slide, seventeen rounds. The Glock 45 gives you the grip length of a 17 with the shorter 4.02 inch slide of a 19, which balances better in a holster and clears a car door faster. Gen6 adds the reshaped grip: palm swell through the center, enlarged beavertail so your hand sits higher over the bore, extended textured thumb rest, and RTF6 texture across more of the frame than before.

Slide changes are just as practical. The serrations are angled deeper for a surer grip when your hands are wet, the frame around the slide stop lever is raised so a thumb riding the frame does not lock the slide back early, and the optic ready system is built into the Gen6 slide for mounting a dot. A flat faced trigger sits inside, and the SAFE ACTION system behind it works the way it always has, with three passive safeties that release only under a deliberate trigger press. Three 17 round magazines come with the pistol. Interchangeable backstraps, a reversible magazine catch and an ambidextrous slide stop mean a left handed shooter is not fighting the gun, and the accessory rail takes a light for after dark.
