Glenfield Model A 223 Rem 20" 5rd Moss Green Rifle

Glenfield is a Ruger brand, and the Model A is the bolt action rifle that carries the name. The mechanical bits are the ones Ruger has been refining for years: a one piece three lug bolt with a 70 degree throw that clears a scope bell easily, a full diameter bolt body with dual cocking cams for a smooth stroke from the shoulder, and the Power Bedding integral block that locates the receiver and floats the barrel. The trigger is user adjustable, and a one piece Picatinny base comes installed from the factory.

This one is chambered in 223 Rem with a 20 inch barrel threaded at the muzzle and a thread protector fitted. It feeds from a flush fit AR pattern magazine, so spare magazines are the same ones half the country already owns. The stock wears a moss green splatter finish that gives real grip without being sharp against a bare hand, and a soft rubber buttpad takes the edge off what little recoil a 223 produces. Sling swivel studs are fitted. As a coyote rifle, a first centerfire, or a quiet suppressed shooter, the Model A covers a lot of ground on a short spec sheet.
