About the Gemtech Abyss 5.56 6mm
The Abyss 5.56 is Gemtech's hard use rifle can for 5.56 NATO, and it is also rated for 6mm ARC and 5.7x28mm. This version attaches with a 1/2-28 direct thread mount, and its 1.375-24 HUB interface lets it move to other HUB mounts later. It measures 6.2" long and weighs 16 oz.
The low back pressure design cuts gas in the face and improves host reliability, while the high efficiency baffles handle sound. A GM-S1 end cap doubles as a flash hider to knock down first round flash. It is built from stainless steel and titanium and is full auto rated. Minimum barrel lengths are 7" for 5.56 NATO and 6mm ARC and 3" for 5.7x28mm, so it suits short barrel 5.56 builds.
