Fletcher Rifle Works Texas Flood 5.56 Vented End Cap

Swapping to a vented end cap opens up the outer annulus of a Texas Flood or OCL Infinity, which gives gas a faster way out of the can. Less back pressure at the muzzle means less gas coming back through the action, a cleaner bolt carrier and a rifle that is easier to keep running on a long range day.

The trade is noise. A vented cap raises the sound signature compared to the solid cap, so this is the part for high volume shooters and for guns that fight tuning, not for the quietest possible setup. This one is bored for 5.56, so it goes on 223 and 5.56 hosts. Keep the solid cap on hand if the same can gets run on a suppressor focused build.
