Fierce Firearms Carbon Rogue XP 22 Creedmoor 22" Rifle

This is the long barrel version of the Carbon Rogue XP, finished at 22 inches in 22 Creedmoor. The cartridge lives on velocity, and two extra inches of barrel are worth having when the bullet is a long, heavy .224 that wants every foot per second it can get. Because the barrel is carbon fiber over a steel core, the extra length does not bring the extra weight a full steel barrel of the same contour would add.

Fierce's XP configuration feeds from a detachable magazine, which makes loading and unloading straightforward instead of a chamber juggling exercise at the end of a hunt. 22 Creedmoor itself is a 6mm Creedmoor case necked down to .224, and it does what a lot of shooters wanted out of a varmint and light game cartridge: high ballistic coefficient bullets, flat trajectory and almost no recoil, which means you stay in the scope and see the hit. On a bolt action rifle this size that adds up to a gun that is easy to carry, easy to shoot well, and honest at distances where the lighter .22 centerfires run out of steam.
