Fierce Firearms builds the Carbon Rogue XP around a carbon fiber barrel, and the reason is not only weight. A carbon wrapped barrel sheds heat faster than a steel barrel of the same profile and stays stiffer than a pencil contour, so a rifle can be carried like a mountain gun and still hold a group through a string of shots. This one is finished at 20 inches, a length that keeps the rifle short enough to move through timber without giving up much velocity in 22 Creedmoor.

The XP designation is the detachable magazine configuration.
