Fierce Firearms Carbon Rogue XP 22 Creedmoor 20" Black Rifle

The Carbon Rogue XP is Fierce Firearms' carbon barreled bolt gun, and this one is set up with a 20 inch barrel in 22 Creedmoor. Carbon wrapped barrels earn their keep two ways: they cut weight out at the muzzle where a rifle carries it worst, and the carbon shell pulls heat off the steel core faster than bare steel manages on its own. The result is a rifle you can pack all day that does not start walking shots halfway through a load workup.

XP means the detachable magazine configuration, so loading and unloading is a deliberate act rather than a chamber juggling exercise at the end of a hunt. 22 Creedmoor is the cartridge that makes the whole package make sense. It is a 6mm Creedmoor case necked down to .224, which means long, heavy, high ballistic coefficient bullets moving fast with very little recoil to fight. You can spot your own hits, and that matters more than most people admit once the shot gets long and the wind starts moving. The metalwork on this configuration is black.
