About the Fierce Firearms Carbon Mini

22 Creedmoor is the 6.5 Creedmoor case squeezed down to a .224 bullet, and the result is a cartridge that throws long, heavy for caliber .22 bullets at speeds the .223 family cannot touch. Wind drift drops off, the trajectory flattens, and recoil stays light enough that a shooter can watch the impact through the scope. On a 20 inch barrel there is enough tube to burn the powder without turning the rifle into a pole.

Fierce builds this one on the Carbon Mini Rogue chassis, a shorter and lighter take on the Rogue stock aimed at shooters who do not fit a full size hunting rifle. The reduced length of pull is the whole point of the Mini. A shooter who has to stretch to reach a standard stock will not mount the gun the same way twice, and a repeatable mount is most of what makes a bolt gun shoot. The forest camo on the stock breaks up the outline on an open hillside where a solid colour reads as a straight line from a long way off. Chambered in 22 Creedmoor and cut to 20 inches, it stays short enough to carry all day and long enough to let the cartridge do what it was built for, which is the balance a light rifle in a fast .22 centerfire wants. It is a bolt action, so the shooter sets the pace and the case gets a long, gentle extraction rather than a violent one.
