Daniel Defense DDM4 5.56 NATO 10.3" 30rd SLx MicroPrism Pistol

This Daniel Defense DDM4 is an AR15 pattern pistol with a 10.3" barrel, short enough to handle quickly in close quarters and still threaded to work with the usual range of muzzle devices and sound suppressors. It is built on a DDM4 lower receiver, with a 9.5" DD4 flat front rail out front and a Maxim PDW brace at the back.

The optic comes with it: a Primary Arms SLx 1x MicroPrism with a red illuminated ACSS Cyclops Gen 2 reticle. Prism sights etch the reticle into the glass rather than projecting it onto a lens, which is why shooters with astigmatism usually get along with them better than with an open dot. It feeds from a 30 round magazine in 5.56 NATO. The flat front rail leaves room for a hand well out toward the muzzle, a light and a sling mount without crowding any of them, and the PDW brace keeps the back of the gun compact. A 10.3" barrel and a braced receiver extension put this one squarely in the short and handy end of the AR15 family rather than the general purpose carbine end.
