Daniel Defense DD5 P 12.5" Pistol

The DD5 P is the pistol configuration of Daniel Defense's DD5, built on the company's own receiver set rather than assembled out of a parts bin. The 12.5 inch S2W heavy barrel runs a mid length gas system, which is a deliberate choice at this length: more dwell time means a softer, slower unlocking cycle than a carbine port would give in the same barrel. A linear compensator on the 5/8-24 muzzle threads pushes blast and concussion forward instead of back at the shooter and anyone standing beside them.

A 10.5 inch free float M-LOK handguard covers the gas system and leaves room for a light, a hand stop or a bipod without a rail adapter, and the DLC finish is there to cut friction and hold up under use. An SB Tactical SBA3 brace rides on the receiver extension and a standard pistol grip finishes the controls. This configuration comes with no magazine, so plan on sourcing one separately.
