Daniel Defense DD4 P 5.56 NATO 11.5" SBA3 Pistol

The DD4 P is Daniel Defense's AR pistol, an 11.5" 5.56 NATO build with an SBA3 adjustable brace on the back and a 10.5" free float M-LOK handguard up front. Barrel length is the whole argument for this configuration. At 11.5" the gun is short enough to work from a vehicle seat or down a hallway, and it still burns enough powder to keep 5.56 doing what it does, which a 7" or 8" barrel gives up.

The barrel is a government profile, cold hammer forged, and threaded at the muzzle. The gas system is carbine length, which is the right pairing for that barrel and keeps the rifle running with a suppressor on the end. The handguard mounts to the barrel nut and free floats over the barrel, so a light on the side and an optic on top keep their relationship no matter what the handguard takes for abuse. The charging handle is Daniel Defense's own, and everything else on the gun is standard AR, which means spare parts and upgrades come off any shelf. Suppressed shooting is the usual reason a buyer wants an 11.5" gun, and this one is set up for it out of the box.
