CZ 457 Premium 17 HMR 24" 5rd Walnut Rifle

The 457 Premium is the dressed up version of CZ's rimfire platform, and the stock is where the money went. Turkish walnut, cut in a classic sporter profile with a decorative forend tip, finished properly rather than sprayed. Under the wood sits the same 457 action that made this line the default recommendation for serious rimfire shooters: a short 60 degree bolt throw, an adjustable trigger and a barrel clamped into the receiver rather than threaded in, which is what makes 457 barrels swappable in the first place.

This one is chambered in 17 HMR with a 24" barrel threaded 1/2-20 at the muzzle, so a suppressor or a brake goes on without machine work. A tangent rear sight is fitted and adjustable, which is unusual on a modern rimfire and welcome if you would rather not mount glass at all. The detachable magazine holds 5 rounds. A 24" barrel gets everything the 17 HMR has to give, and the flat trajectory it produces out to 200 yards makes this a real tool on groundhogs and coyotes rather than a plinker with pretty wood.
