CVA Scout V2 LR 338 ARC 14" Stainless Pistol

Handgun hunting used to mean a magnum revolver and a hard limit on distance. The Scout V2 pistol changes that math. It is a break action single shot with a 14" barrel built on the same platform CVA uses for its Scout rifles, which means rifle accuracy and rifle ballistics out of something carried in a holster. Chambered in 338 ARC, it pushes a heavy 338 caliber bullet with the terminal performance a deer or hog hunter needs at practical handgun distances.

The barrel and receiver are stainless with a black synthetic stock, so a wet morning in a treestand is not a problem. The muzzle is threaded 5/8-24 for a suppressor, which is where the 338 ARC design pays off, since the cartridge was built to run heavy subsonic loads as well as full power supersonic ones. A DuraSight rail is mounted on top for a scope or a red dot, and there are no iron sights, so plan on an optic. Total weight is about 3.7 pounds. Opening the action gives a positive visual chamber check every time, and the single shot layout keeps the whole package short, light and simpler than any bolt action pistol.
