Trailblazer Firearms LifeCard 380 ACP Folding Pistol

The LifeCard is a single shot 380 ACP that folds flat into a rectangle about the footprint of a credit card. Closed, the grip swallows the barrel and the whole thing reads as a small metal case rather than a handgun. Open it and the barrel locks up into firing position with the trigger dropping down where your finger expects to find it. There is no magazine and no slide — you load one round, close the action, and that is what you have.

Construction is steel with a black finish, which stands up to pocket and pack carry better than a polymer shell would. This is deliberately a last option gun. Nobody wins a match with it and shot placement is everything, but the LifeCard goes places a conventional pistol will not: a shirt pocket, a small case, a situation where anything larger simply gets left behind. The action is single action, so the hammer is cocked manually before the shot, which puts one more deliberate step between carrying the gun and firing it. Think of it as the handgun equivalent of a spare key — small, plain, and there when the main plan falls through.
