CVA Cascade XT 450 Bushmaster 22" Bronze Mossy Oak Bottomland Rifle

The Cascade XT is CVA's upgraded version of the Cascade, and this one is chambered in 450 Bushmaster for hunters working in straight wall cartridge country. The 22 inch medium contour Bergara barrel is fluted to trim weight and threaded at the muzzle, and a radial muzzle brake comes installed to keep a big straight wall case from beating up your shoulder over a long sight in session. Barrel and receiver both wear a Midnight Bronze Cerakote coating that handles wet November mornings better than bare bluing. The receiver is drilled and tapped and carries a Picatinny rail, so glass goes on with nothing more than a set of rings.

The stock is an adjustable synthetic dressed in Mossy Oak Bottomland, the old marsh pattern that disappears in flooded timber and early season brush. CVA fits the XT with an oversized bolt knob, which matters when you are working the action with cold fingers or a glove on. Feeding comes from a detachable box magazine, so topping off is quick and you can unload without running live rounds through the chamber. Inside 200 yards on whitetail or hogs, a 450 in a rifle this size is about as much cartridge as most hunters need.
