Cimarron P-Model Old Model 45 Colt 4.75" 6rd Revolver

Cimarron reproduced its Model P in every detail from an original 1873 single action in its own antique collection, rather than working from drawings. This version is chambered in 45 Colt with a 4.75" barrel and a six round cylinder, built on the Old Model frame: the pre 1896 style with the cylinder pin screw at the front of the frame.

Cimarron's Cowboy Comp action fixes weak points of the 19th century design for better reliability. The frame is color case hardened, the barrel is blued and the one piece walnut grip has the classic shape. Fixed sights keep the top line clean. At about 40 oz it is light enough to carry all day and quick out of the holster. The 4.75" barrel is the length many shooters call the gunfighter: it clears leather fast, points naturally and still gives enough sight radius for steel at Cowboy Action distances. Wyatt Earp, Bat Masterson and the Texas and Arizona Rangers carried this pattern, and it became a screen icon in the hands of John Wayne and Clint Eastwood.
