The Cimarron 1873 Deluxe 45 Colt combines authentic Old West styling with modern shooting functionality, and as a longtime shooter I'll tell you why this lever action stands out: the CA277 series carries the classic 1873 lineage with a 24" blued octagon barrel and 1:16" twist that delivers consistent accuracy with .45 Long Colt loads, while the color case hardened steel receiver and rich walnut deluxe pistol grip stock give it museum-quality presence and a comfortable, secure hold for extended sessions. With a 12+1 capacity, adjustable sights, and a 42" overall length at just over 9 pounds, this rifle balances handling for hunting medium game, target work at the range, and immersive historical reenactment or mounted shooting events. The fixed pistol grip and brown stock finish make follow-up shots natural, and the robust steel construction and traditional lever action design keep maintenance straightforward for field use. If you're looking for a historically faithful 1873 model that performs in practical shooting scenarios while presenting beautifully in a collection, the Cimarron 1873 Deluxe .45 Colt delivers reliable function, classic lines, and hands-on shooting enjoyment—FFL transfer required.
