Cimarron 1873 Long Range 45 Colt 30" 14rd Rifle

The 1873 was Winchester's first centerfire rifle and the gun most people picture when they think of the Old West, often paired with a sixgun in the same caliber. Cimarron says it offers more 1873 variations than any other company, and the Long Range Sporting Rifle is the longest of them, with a full 30" octagon barrel.

This model is chambered in 45 Colt, so one box of ammunition can feed both rifle and revolver, and the tube magazine holds 14 rounds. The metal is blued and case colored and the stock is walnut. All that barrel brings the weight to about 9.15 lbs and the overall length to 48", which makes the rifle steady offhand and gives a long sight radius for ringing distant steel. It suits long range side matches at cowboy action shoots and anyone who wants the classic '73 in its most dramatic form. Lever gun collectors will also appreciate it as the extra long counterpart to the carbines and short rifles that usually fill the rack.
