Christensen Arms Ridgeline FFT 7mm-08 16.25" 4rd Burnt Bronze Rifle

At 16.25 inches this is the short barrel version of the Ridgeline FFT, built for people who carry a rifle a lot further than they shoot it. The Flash Forged Technology stock is the lightest carbon fiber shell Christensen Arms makes, spot bedded with carbon fiber pillars so the action does not shift around inside it. The barrel is a stainless core wrapped in aerograde carbon fiber, free floated and match chambered, and the finished rifle sits right around 5.4 pounds before you hang glass on it. That is a number you notice on the fourth mile, not the first.

7mm-08 Remington is a quiet, efficient deer and elk cartridge that gives up very little velocity out of a short tube, so this barrel length is sensible rather than a gimmick. The muzzle is threaded 5/8-24 and wears a removable stainless side baffle brake, which means a suppressor drops straight on. The TriggerTech trigger breaks clean and adjusts, the receiver uses the Remington 700 base footprint so mounting a scope is easy, and the magazine holds four. Bronze metal against the Barren Dune camo stock keeps it from looking like every other carbon rifle on the rack.
