Christensen Arms Modern Carbon Rifle FFT 7mm Rem Mag 22"

The Modern Carbon Rifle is Christensen Arms doing what the company was built to do. Carbon fiber wrapped barrels, a carbon stock, and an aggressive approach to weight that has more to do with what a rifle feels like on the fifth mile than what it reads on a scale. FFT is Christensen's Flash Forged Technology, the carbon layup process the company uses to build stocks and handguards that hold their shape while shedding ounces. On a magnum rifle, cutting weight does make recoil more noticeable, and that is a trade a lot of hunters take gladly for a gun they will actually carry.

7mm Remington Magnum is the classic western hunting cartridge, and it has not so much been improved on as joined by newer options. It shoots flat, it carries energy well past four hundred yards, and factory ammunition is available anywhere that sells rifle ammunition at all. The 22" barrel here is shorter than the 26" tubes the 7mm Rem Mag was originally built around, which costs some velocity but buys a rifle that handles in timber and does not clang off rocks on a steep sidehill. It is a mountain rifle chambered for mountain distances, and the weight it does not have is the entire point.
