Byrna ProSight Universal Red Dot Sight

A red dot does one thing better than iron sights: it removes a step. There is no front post to line up with a rear notch and no eye to close. The shooter looks at the target, the dot appears on it, and the shot breaks. Under stress, in poor light, or with aging eyes that no longer switch focus between a front sight and a threat, that difference is the whole argument for a dot.

Byrna builds the ProSight as a universal fit sight rather than a model specific one, so it is meant to work across a range of host platforms. Check the mounting pattern on whatever it is going on before you commit to a plate or a rail section. Sighting in is the same process as any other dot: get on paper at a short distance first, then confirm the zero at the distance the gun will actually be used.
